lets start with a Private Eye inspired comparison of numbers

£3,000 the amount promised, but now not being paid by the UK Government to serving Marines fighting Blairs war in Afghanistan

£3,750 the amount actually paid by Blairs Government to imprisoned drug addicts because the prison authorities refused to give them free, incidentally illegal, drigs during their incarceration

How many ways can I say no to something, the plain simple fact is that allowing, in fact encouraging, seperate existance by immigrant groups is wrong. It is wrong wherever it happens. The globe is dotted with groups of Brits looking down their noses at the local indigenous population and creating a facsimile of Surry around themselves, its wrong and insulting.

Just as wrong is the concept of a self created apartheid perpetrated by any number of different groups who have moved to the UK.

sorry guys, if its so attractive to live in the UK then its required that you join and integrate yourself.

At a fundemental level the one thing that just does not work are faith schools. As I watched in Northern Ireland educating the 2 sides of the religious divide in separate scholls just perpetuates the bigotry down into another generation.

The creation of a whole series of faith schools covering Catholics,Jews, Muslims, Hindu's etc etc is a very unhealthy process, that will inevitably end in tears.

Lets look at it from a slightly different direction, can you imagine the screaming and ranting that would result if Faith Schools were made compulsory. Wasn't that what the South Africans experimented with?

Perhaps along with faith schools we could have faith buses, faith shops, faith hotels !!!!

So it continues, in a cynical practice run for dealing with Iran the US is fighting it by proxy. In a re-run of the days of the Roman Empire and its gladiators we have Hizbollah put forward, equipped and funded by Iran and Israel put forward,equipped and funded by the USA.
Of course neither Iran nor the USA wants to get involved directly, much better to let a few innocents get killed.

Its called the bravery of being out of range, played out on the Worlds television screens as a form of macabre reality television.

Its tempting to point out that Israel has no real territorial legitimacy with the old question still not answered, is Jewishness a state of mind, a Nation or a Religion, truth is its none it just happened to be one of the more succesful of the historic tribes in a piece of desert at the eastern end of the Mediteranean Sea.
Its difficult for this debate to be properly engaged because Saudi Arabia only exists because old man Ibn Saud was rather more succesful than the other Bedouin tribes of Arabia.

But then nationhood is the best possible proof of the fact that its the winners that write the history books and you don't have to be right to be the winner.

I have always found it difficult to work out what would have happened if the Jews had announced that their historic documents claimed that London, Washington or Paris was their place of origin, what would have been the reaction of the peoples of Britain, USA or France if the rest of the World had imposed a Jewish nation on them. Not very friendly I imagine.

At least our wonderful leader Blair has now be seen by the rest of the Worlds leaders for what he is, irrelevant.

Now here is an interesting, or should that be terrifying, issue.
Watching Blair on the television he appears to have gone completely insane, he has the manic staring eys and demeanour of a seriously deranged person.
His actions are those of someone completely divorced from reality.
Of course the problem for the UK and the rest of the World is that under the British constitution the Prime Minister, Blair, can on his own, take the country to war. I say take but of course he is far too gutless to be out in front, his is the bravery of being out of range in his protected houses are vehicles.

So here we are our Prime Minister has gone insane and our armed forces are being killed in pursuit of ??, well in pursuit of what really is the question, is there anyone out there who knows what has turned Blair into Bushes bum boy?    

I have been neglecting my blog for a while. the reason being that I have been helping my son defend himself against the predations of his ex wife.
Let me give you the background and invite your views.
He met her on a trip in a bus to China with 17 other people, she came from the UK.
Prior to meeting her he owned his house, about £180,000 worth, he had a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. Plus shares and cash, rather nicely set up for a young man in his 20's.
She had nothing apart from credit card debts.
After returning from the trip to China she moved in, became pregnant and insisted on getting married. As I disapproved they went of to John o Groats and got married.
10 months later she walked out taking the child with her, having run up debts of £48,000.
She is now demanding, £125,000 so she can buy a house, plus £850 per month maintenance plus half his pension. The insane thing is that the UK Courts seem to agree this is fair.
The lessons to be learned from this story are:
don't get married
if you want a sexual partner go hire one its cheaper. Even assuming he did it once a day, which I doubt, he has effectively paid £400 a time, you could get real live and throbbing porn star for that.

tomorrow I will ponder the wonders of the US and the UK policy and actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

So once again the UK finds itself, well actually its the poor old squaddy, stuck in the middle between warring factions.
I wonder if we will ever learn, the irony of the current mess in Iraq is that once upon a time the Brits were stuck in a very similar position between the Palestinians ( although we just called them Arabs then) and the Jewish immigrants that were forming Israel.

Now in these modern times, the Shia kill the Sunni, the Sunni kill the Shia and when they fancy a change they get together a kill the Brits or Americans, of course with a little help from the Iranians.

Should we get the people of this region a few maps and then perhaps they wil realise that there is in fact lots and lots of desert in the Middle East perhaps more importantly there is enough to share around. but it not that simple, is it.

I wonder where the trend in the medias reporting of news is going to end.
If we step back a couple of hundred years the news of a distant discovery, war or attrocity could take 6 months to reach the UK.
Then came faster ships and the news arrived in weeks.
The arrival of radio enabled the news broadcaster to report things that happened a few days ago or if the censor allowed perhaps a few hours ago.
The newspapers were, of course still limited by their overnight printing to reporting what happened yesterday.

Until relatively recently the many facets of the media were able to think for themselves and collectively reported what had happened.

Then the UK's current administration managed to take control of the media and now I wake to the 6 o'clock news on the BBC telling me that today Tony Blair will say ...............

So where does this end.

Will we go the way of homosexuality, My Father, now sadly dead, used to say that as a young man in the 1920's homosexuality was " the love that dare not speak its name " because it was illegal and regarded as perverted.
By the time we got to the 1960's homosexuality had become something that was acknowledged and then made legal between consenting adults in private.
In more recent years, certainly the BBC or the British Government ( aren't they the same thing)seem to believe its a normal way of life.
But at least my father died before it reached the logical end to this progression which is to make it compulsory.

I have long been amused at the practical issues associated with the promise that a suicide bomber will be rewarded with 72 virgins. Although I did read one scholar who claimed it was a misprint and they really get 72 grapes. If thats true can you imagine the reaction having arrived in paradise a bit frazzled following the explosion with an expectation of some serious horizontal activity and to be given a bunch of grapes !!!
But even if the 72 virgins concept is true, come on guys can you imagine it 72 women !! That means for you a different one every 5 days, which is kind of attractive.
But for them that means once a year, which I feel could lead to a complaint or two from the ladies.
Lets assume for a moment that once these virgins have been introduced to the pleasures of the flesh that they develope just a modest desire, say once a month, (yes girls I know some of you prefer at least once a day), but lets stick for the moment to once a month.
Now our suicide bomber is required to perform every 10 hours, with no break.
It would appear that the Qoran is wiser than I imagined and suicide bombing is punished by an interesting and quite novel form of hell.

Sadly the term spinning has lost its original meaning, no longer does it describe the creation of yarn for weaving. It has evolved into a, for some, socially acceptable term for lying by politicians.For the rest of us it is just more evidence of the moral bankruptcy of those who seek to control.

Way back in Vietnam the Americans " saved " villages when in reality they bombed and burned them and their inhabitants to deny the Vietcong shelter.

40 years on a whole swathes of the Middle East are being " saved " from running their own affairs. A wholly allien form of Government is being foisted on them. Why ?, so that other parts of the World can continue to live beyond their means in an orgy built on oil.

Of course the politicians long ago learned that if they controlled the media they controlled the population resulting in once proud and free organisations like the BBC becoming nothing more than propaganda machines for the Government of the day.

Its a strange message isn't it, restructure your country to be like us or we will kill you
